Viewing licenses and usage

The server, client, and viewer licenses that are claimed by Meridian Explorer and BlueCielo Publisher can be viewed in the Meridian Enterprise Server Configurator along with the licenses claimed by Meridian Enterprise modules and users.

Notes

• By default, the Meridian Explorer client licenses expire after 3 minutes of inactivity.
• The number of licenses that are listed in Meridian Enterprise Server Configurator are retrieved from the Meridian Enterprise License Server during repository synchronization. If you register additional licenses with the Meridian Enterprise License Server, they will not be available to Meridian Enterprise Server until after the next vault synchronization has occurred.

To change the Meridian Enterprise license server where the licenses are retrieved from:

1. In Meridian Enterprise Server Configurator, in the System Management group, click Settings. The Application Settings page appears.
2. In the menu, click LICENSES. The Licenses page appears.
3. In the LICENSE SERVER group, for the Server Name item, click CHANGE. The REGISTER LICENSING SERVER NAME dialog box appears.
4. Type the name of the computer where the Meridian Enterprise license server is hosted in Register License Server Name.
5. Click REGISTER. The new name appears in Server Name.

To view the installed licenses:

1. In Meridian Enterprise Server Configurator, in the System Management group, click Settings. The Application Settings page appears.
2. In the menu, click LICENSES. The Licenses page appears.
3. In the LICENSE SERVER group, for the Registered licenses item, click SHOW. The LICENSE INFORMATION dialog box shows a list of the licenses that have been registered, the license keys, and the quantity of each license.
4. Click CLOSE.

To view license usage:

1. In Meridian Enterprise Server Configurator, in the System Management group, click Settings. The Application Settings page appears.
2. In the menu, click LICENSING. The Licenses page appears.
3. In the LICENSE SERVER group, for the License Usage item, click SHOW. The LICENSE USAGE INFORMATION dialog box shows a list of the licenses that have been registered and the number of each license that are currently being used.
4. To view the names of the users who are claiming each license type, click the license name. The names of the current license users appear in the USER NAME column.
5. Click CLOSE.

To view the license registration information:

1. In Meridian Enterprise Server Configurator, in the System Management group, click Settings. The Application Settings page appears.
2. In the menu, click LICENSING. The Licenses page appears.
3. Expand the REGISTRATION DETAILS group. The registration information appears.
